Greg Hark Personal Projects:
After photographing an expansive amount of commissioned work for over two decades, it's still great pleasure to take pictures for personal enjoyment. With the age of digital arriving around 15 years ago I have had the privalege of experiencing the changes in the thought process of picture taking and learning new techniques and artform. While digital has made it simpler for anyone to take a good photo, technique pictures require a large amount of knowledge in composition and creativity to have your picture stand out. Today's advanced post-processing method at the lab end now lies with each photographer. Photoshop and other software plug ins offer us a tremendous amount of creative choices! It is sometimes hard to know when to stop creating when working with an image.
The Personal Projects are meant to be a collection of fun subject matter. A place to display examples of enjoyable images without limitations and simply show photographs and ideas that brew around in my head. It is great fun to carry a point and shoot digital camera while out and about and to play around with angles and just shoot in the moment.
I plan on adding many more categories over the coming years and welcome any comments or questions about the images seen. We will include some simple techniques and pointers on photographing as well in the future.
It is interesting to take pictures just for the sake of testing a concept. Playful pictures can result in stirring up the creative juices, which later can influence a work assignment or an artistic theme.

Food:
Pictures of Food
This is a place to show off the many hundreds of food pictures I have photographed with my point and shoot cameras of family dinners or just an artist creation of a restraunt chief meal.

General:
It is fun to play around with the images from a project or just snaps of a day with the camera. Trying new techniques in photoshop and other programs to create the vision one had or has in the final image.

Joshua Tree:
Joshua Tree National Park located in California was breath taking watching the warm yellow light bake the out crop of rocks growing everywhere. Every turn of the road offer another unique view. The hiking and rock climbing was a real treat. The rocks and area resonated with a wonderful energy! When the day dissolved into night the each sunset played with the clouds to give my eye and camera an explosion of colors.

South Beach / Miami Beach, Florida:
South Beach and Miami Beach art deco building offer any photographer a playful experence! The unique shapes and colors of the art deco building offers the camera lots of fun angles to explore.
South Beach glowing neons from art deco building have influenced Hark’s artwork. Florida outdoor light 365 days a year is always a visual treat to his eyes. The warm sunsets spark the creativity in his models.
His love for nature has allowed him to see the subjects with light dancing upon them with both artificial and natural light. Hark recreates the lighting in his studio or captures the light flowing on his subject by watching and feeling his environment.

Clouds:
Pictures of Clouds have always giving me a smile when I look up and image what mother nature was thinking. One day I felt something was look at me and looked out my sunroof while driving and there it was. I pulled off of 95 and photographed a smile.
